Wicked Smart Apparel has hired Precision Computer Works as their I.T. consultant, and work is already underway to upgrade and modernize their small business network. Todd VanEpps, owner and operator of Wicked Smart Apparel purchased the company 3 months ago in an effort to build the business into an advertising and design powerhouse. Wicked Smart can handle screen printing, graphic design, embroidery, and corporate apparel with quick turn around times and superior quality.
After acquiring the business Todd realized the network and hardware was severely outdated. Precision stepped in and has already deployed new server hardware as well as powerful desktop publishing machines, and built a windows domain. Data is now much more accessible due to the client\server infrastructure, and backups are quicker and more reliable. Redundancy is also built in thanks to all server storage being configured with RAID-10 for both safety and speed.
The desktop publishing department has also seen increases in productivity due to much more powerful hardware. Desktop feature quad-core Intel processors and multiple monitors. Future plans include more desktop replacements, and upgrading operating system software as well as desktop publishing software.
